Melanophryniscus Stelzneri

I present to you the "Melanophryniscus stelzneri".

This small red-bellied toad lives in Argentina in meadows and fields, and measures between 2.5 to 4 cm.
It is a diurnal species that we observe during the day.
Usually he is active after rains, his back and limbs are velvety black with yellow spots.
The face of its legs is bright red (hence the nickname of the red bellied toad).
When this little toad feels in danger, it stands up so that its red spots are exposed.
It is a small species so it feeds on small prey such as aphids, ants.
